I’ve been eating organic most of my life. Additionally, I’ve been eating gluten free on a regular basis since my niece was diagnosed with Celiac’s. I guess I’m saying I have a lot of experience with really good organics.
I’m sorry to say, this was not a really good organic product. It fit the stereotypes about what organic is. We bought this cereal and no one would eat it. It tasted like mildly sweetened cardboard. It did not taste like peanut butter. Maybe we got a bad box, But I’m not going to buy another.

Hello! Just wanted to let your company know how much I LOVE your Peanut Butter Panda Puffs cereal, and voice my concern over seeing it being replaced with Leapin Lemurs cereal. I shop at three stores (2 Shop Rite and Whole Foods Market) and they all have made the switch to LL. I did try the Lemur cereal, but I don’t care for the cocoa flavor. Peanut Butter Panda Puffs are still the best!!

Submitted by Amberly (not verified) on January 5, 2012 - 20:07.
My 3 year old son picked this cereal Panda Puffs out when we were walking down the organic isle of our local Kroger in Michigan. I love some organic foods and was quite skeptical about this purchase; I couldn’t be more happy with the purchase. As a child I loved Peanut Butter Captain Crunch, now that I am an adult, I cannot eat it because it gives me terrible indigestion. Panda Puffs does not give me a stomach or heart burn. If that is not convincing enough, my son loves it too. I recommend that all people try this cereal. I look forward to trying the other cereal that your company makes.

Hi Amberly and thanks for sharing your awesome story! I too am a huge Panda Puffs lover and I’m so glad you and your son are too! If you like Panda Puffs, you’ll probably love our other EnviroKidz cereals such as our Leapin Lemurs Cereal, full of peanut butter puffs PLUS chocolate puffs. I highly recommend you give that a try if you see it at Kroger next time. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Is it really organic? 97% of corn grown in the United States is genetically modified and corn that isn’t is usually contaminated by pollen from corn that is because the pollen blows over on the wind. There’s cornmeal in the cereal and corn meal comes from corn. Soy is usually genetically altered as well.

Hi Natasha and thanks for asking us this important question. Our team is crazy passionate about this issue so we love any chance we can get to talk about this. We’re so glad it’s as important to you as it is to us! You’re right that most corn and soy in North America is GMO which is why we have to be extra diligent to ensure ours isn’t. Our products are certified USDA Organic in the United States and certified organic by the Canadian Organic Office (a department of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency) in Canada. Organic and non-gmo doesn’t mix because organic standards dictate thaty all organic producers and processors must exclude the use of GMO products or methods. Check points are applied at critical areas such as: land treatment, inputs used, production, processing, handling and transportation methods. But as you mentioned, sometimes cross contamination of Non-GMOs and GMOs can occur such as blow over in the fields, so your best solution to ensuring Non-GMO content in your food is to ensure it’s registered with the Non-Gmo Project (www.nongmoproject.org). We voluntarily put our foods through the Non-GMO Project’s verification process and now proudly display the Non-GMO Verified Seal on more products than any other manufacturer! We’re so serious about this issue that Nature’s Path has pledged $500,000 to the Campaign for Mandatory Labelling in California, going on right now. To read more on our perspective on Non-GMOs, please see here: http://www.naturespath.com/node/6515. I hope this info gives you confidence in our dedication to the Non-GMO movement. Hi Alicia and thanks for reaching out to us! I’ve noticed this cereal is popular with guys too— maybe they’re just big kids at heart or could it just be that Panda Puffs—while produced as a “kids” cereal”—is just as beloved by adults? In any case, you can always try to find our products on Amazon.com or ask your store to place a special order for you. If you contact Nicolette, Consumer Services, using our contact form here: http://www.naturespath.com/contact-us, she can help you find this cereal in your area. This is the best cereal I’ve ever eaten. Period. I’ve been trying to lower my gluten intake, and happen to come across these at Whole Foods. I didn’t know what to expect, but after a handful or two, I couldn’t stop. I have never been a breakfast person, but these I can wake up and start eating within minutes. I also eat them as a snack. Panda Puffs are just to good to be true. Healthy, organic, affordable (2.99/box at my Whole Foods), and I’m sort of helping pandas survive with every box purchased. Next thing to try, Panda Puff bars.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Soy is an amazing protein substitute for those who are vegetarian. It also has many nutritional benefits such as being low in saturated fat, low in cholesterol, and it contains all the essential amino acids. Both the American Heart Association (AHA) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) agree that soy foods contribute to a heart-healthy diet. Your comment is important to us, therefore, I have forwarded it to our R&D team who will look into it further. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I’ve been a big fan of this cereal for quite a while, but was disappointed to find that the eco bag I last purchased listed tapioca starch as an ingredient. This explained why I had been feeling sick for a few days, as I’m unfortunately allergic. I was able to find a box in stores that does not list tapioca, and seeing as the site doesn’t list it as an ingredient I was wondering if this was a permanent addition to the cereal, because I’d be really sad to have to give it up.
Hi Courtney and thanks so

I have to say that I originally bought these for my 4 year old but I eat them more than he does. While he likes them, I love that they are Gluten free and I can have my “kid” cereal on days that I don’t eat “adult” blends and ot have to worry about tummy issues later …. They stay crunchy in all types of milk/milk free milk and have a pleasant mild peanut butter taste. I buy extra when they go on sale and stock up :-)

I’m gluten free and I’ve loved Panda Puffs for years, but I just opened a fresh box today with such a strong chemical smell that I almost vomited. Unfortunately I ate a few before I caught the smell and now I’m concerned. The outside of the bag smells very toxic too, so it’s either the plastic, or the product and the plastic creating a reaction and off-gassing. Either way, it concerns me and I encourage everyone to smell the contents before eating this product.
