Hi Jacqui - The best before date for the Hot Oatmeal is usually located on the front of the box, on the top left corner. The date printed in black ink and reads day/month/year/letter code. The bags of Oatmeal themselves also have a code printed on them. The date code (08350 B 23:39) that you provided can be interpreted as follows: 08 - Year of production (e.g. 2008) 350 - Julian day of year Julian Calendar (e.g. December 16) A - Day shift or B - evening shift 23:39 - Time of production The shelf life for the Oatmeal is 14 months from manufacture. It would appear that the oatmeal that you have has passed it’s best before date & we do not recommend consuming the product if it has passed the best before date. This product doesn’t include any gluten or wheat ingredients but there is chance of cross-contaminiation of the oats with gluten in the fields or during the milling process. Hi Audrey and thanks for reaching out to us! There aren’t any nuts in the facility where the Nature’s Path Hot Oatmeal is made. Walnuts were previously used in this facility; however, not since March 2011.
